Jump Around
Loving this weather! It was so sunny and mild! A great day for the daughters to have off from school; I knew we had to get out later and enjoy the sun:)
We had a relaxing morning with a late breakfast. Despite the spring-like weather, I had cravings for a fall flavor – apple pie! This was one tasty yogurt bowl. In the mix…
- 1 cup plain nonfat greek yogurt (TJ’s brand)
- 1 gala apple, diced
- 1/4 tsp. apple pie spice
- 1/4 cup Special K granola
I warmed the spiced apples in the microwave for 1 minute before adding to the yogurt, then topped it with the granola. Mmmm…apple pie in a bowl…
We let breakfast digest, then got dressed and headed out into the bright sunshine. Yay, vitamin D!
While big daughter practiced some basketball, little daughter and I had some fun on the trampoline. I haven’t been on it in such a long time. I decided to make ‘trampoline jumping’ my workout for today. Little daughter and I searched the internet for some workout routines for the trampoline. I found this one and thought I would try out some of the moves…
It was such a blast! And hard! The whole Tuck-Daffy- Daffy thing was brutal!!
Little daughter thought I was hilarious…
Thank God the neighbors couldn’t see me
So, after our 45 minute jump-a-thon, we needed some food. I really wanted a chili-dog. I have no idea why. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten a chili-dog in my life, but for some reason, today was the day! So glad I did; it was great!
I picked up this Amy’s Black Bean Chili the other day to try…
This chili was amazing! It will definitely be a pantry staple from now on.
I used 1/2 cup chili to top an Applegate Farms Organic Uncured Beef Hotdog on an Ezekiel Hot Dog Bun . I sprinkled 1 oz. Cabot’s 75% reduced fat cheddar for the finishing touch. A side of carrots was all I needed for this hearty, messy and super delicious lunch…
Later in the afternoon, the daughters and I snuggled up for a movie and some popcorn…
Then, I got to baking more Chocolate Cranberry Chia Muffin Tops since my stash was gone…
I snacked a little on a muffin top and batter (counting those BLT’s!).
Dinner was pretty basic… turkey breast with a parmesan peppercorn sauce, broccoli and mashed taters…

Have you ever tried jumping on a trampoline?

It has been YEARS since I jumped on a trampoline – something tells me that I’m missing a good time. It must feel incredibly free. Note to self – do not look at your blog when I first wake up -makes my tummy growl from all your food pics
That looks like fun! Unfortunately, after snapping a ligament off my left ankle in 2001, my jumping days are over. But I would love to try it sometime if I didn’t think it would do more damage. Great fun activity to do with the family.
You are adorable, my friend!!
Looks like so much fun!!! I haven’t jumped on a trampoline in years… I should really change that!
The trampoline looks like so much fun! How can you not smile while on a trampoline
I’ve never tried a trampoline…but I love Amy’s Organic products. Their burritos are the perfect lunch.
I wanna jump on that thing and then eat some popcorn.
I know a girl who broke her leg on the trampoline. And thenn left for a week long vacation at a Florida beach. And she got a bunch of sand in her cast. <— it wasn't me.
