Into The Crazy

I’ve got lots to say, but not lots of time to say it!  My babbling will have to wait for another post when this crazy week slows down.  So, today is just about the food!

I went with a light, but filling breakfast – Cranbran Vitatop and strawberry Chobani yogurt…

Then, I hit the gym to work off some of those evil Almond Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies from last night!  I think 40 minutes on the Arc Trainer might have helped out :D

Lots and lots of errands today, but I stopped home for a simple lunch – turkey, spinach and wasabi mustard all wrapped up and a sweet Gala…

I tried out this Applegate Farms turkey…

It was great!  I’ll admit I have bought a lot of processed turkey over the years.  I’ve been lax in wanting to roast my own turkey and slice it for sandwiches and wraps.  Now, there’s no need because this is readily available at Trader Joe’s!  Hail to the lazy gods!

My afternoon snack and my new love…

Dinner was late and easy – Crabcake Salad – mini crabcakes over spring mix with wasabi mustard drizzle…

Totally digging the wasabi today!

Okay, I’m off to address the crazy!  Have a great day, everyone!

Do you eat processed lunchmeats?  C’mon fess up! ;)

Your breakfast looks ahhhmazing! The closest thing I come to processed lunch meats is tuna packets. Yes, they are high in mercury. Don’t judge. ;-)

I know I am going to foodie hell for admitting this, but I love turkey lunch meat. It’s just good… especially the stuff from the deli with the bourbon glaze. So yum.

I would have to agree with you! And go to foodie hell with you…good times :)

I eat them about once a month. And I LOVE the look of your crabcake salad ! I am allergic to both fish and shellfish, but before my allergy became a factor seafood was one of my hands down favorites !

Lunch meats..gotta say not usually. Maybe if I see what it is carved from. Q:– Cranbran Vitatop??? How do you like them? I have an email saying I won 12 months of vitatops( I never win anything), 1 flavor a month for 12 months. I am obviously picking some of the chocolate ones but was curious about the bran ones?

Marisa Reply:

Wow, that is the best prize!! I like all my Vitatops nuked for about 20 sec. I keep them in the wrapper (open one side) and just stick them in the microwave. I think they are fresher tasting and more moist that way. Some people toast them, but I found them too dry using that method. I love the Cranbran and Banana Nut but, Deep Chocolate is my all-time fave. Enjoy!

I love turkey deli meat, or a good deli sandwich with capicola and all the fancy stuff. In high school, I had a ham sandwich almost everyday- it was my all time favorite. Then we dissected fetal pigs. They are the same color as ham. And smelled sort of like ham. I still don’t eat ham very often :/

I really like the cranbran vitatops! Next to triple choc chunk of course! :)

I do eat processed lunchmeat but rarely. I’ll only buy a small package. So maybe 2x a month or so.

Yes I am guilty of eating the processed turkey lunch meat! There I admitted it, but I will try the Trader Joes one.

Your meals look fabulous today. Did you make the crab cakes from scratch?

Marisa Reply:

No, they were part of my freezer stash that I am trying to dwindle down. I believe they are from BJ’s. Very good!

Did you make those crab cakes yourself? I am looking for a new crab cake recipe that doesn’t use mayo!

I do eat processed lunch meats. Jennie-O turkey pastrami is my favorite followed by their sun dried tomato turkey.
