Booty Dance
Hey guys! Just dropping in for a quick hello before heading out to little daughter’s dance recital.
I was so pleased with my food intake yesterday. Meal planning has really helped me this week and the “blt’s” are diminishing greatly which makes me happy. I feel more in control that way!
I started off the day with press (1/2 caf – wha????!)…
and I didn’t even bite anyone’s head off later
Then, I got a Booty Call! Okay, that was not funny. And neither is Jessica and her 10 Minute Solution Ultimate Boot Camp. I did 30 minutes, including one of the “ultimates” that I was scared of! It was a great workout!
I dug into breakfast right after that – plain nonfat greek yogurt topped with Fruit Crisp…
Lunch was leftover organic vegetarian chili over brown rice, topped with some salsa and a wimpy avocado…
Making a batch of brown rice and having it ready in the fridge has been a lifesaver this week!
I needed a snack later, so I opted for something more substantial that just fruit or veggie. A string cheese, Applegate Farms Herbed Roasted Turkey and a few Mary’s Gone Crackers were right on…
In the afternoon, I spent some time in the kitchen making dishes for the post-recital luncheon at our house. Sounds fancy, huh? We invited the Grandparents to come back to the house after the recital to eat a delicious AND healthy lunch. They can’t wait
Well, it was Friday night, so you know that calls for pizza around here. I decided not to indulge and went with a grilled chicken burger topped with asiago cheese and tomato basil hummus dip…
a grape tomato salad…
and watermelon for dessert…
Okay, I’m off to listen to the tippy-tapping of little feet. And the big yapping out of little mouths
Enjoy your day, everyone!

Your food always looks so yummy!
Yummy ! Enjoy the recital . And just for future info, cooked rice can also be frozen. It reheats easily in the microwave or steamer
Wow your eats look yummy today! Congrats on getting a handle on the BLTs. I need to do that this week for sure.
Enjoy the recital!
Great job, lady! You’ve been eating so well lately!!!
mmmm!! i cant wait for that fruit crisp recipe!!!
Eats look great!
I love the Trader Joe’s frozen brown rice to make real fast. I know eventually when I have a grown up fridge/freezer I will be able to make it and freeze it myself, but until then… lol
Have fun, enjoy the recital!
Glad your planning has worked out this week. Your food always looks good.
Meal planning is SO key. I’m generally good mon-wed, then by thurs my motivation wanes and I start looking for quick fixes. So I need a backup meal plan next. lol.
I love the brown rice idea. It really helps me to have something for ME that is healthy in the fridge when I start rummaging around for lunch. I can only eat mac’n'cheese so many days before I start gaining weight.
Thanks for your tips!
