First Communion, Then Food!
Whew! The party’s over. It was a great time with family and good friends! Although, I don’t usually wax religion here, I have to say it was a beautiful sacrament for little daughter to receive and really meant a lot to her.
First, there was church…
Then, back to the house for food! And there was lots of it. You know it’s not a party at my house any other way. *sigh*
The appetizers…
Pepperoni bread (stromboli)…
BLT dip with crudites…
Hoagie dip with sliced baguette…
Time for the main courses…
Manicotti with bechamel sauce…
Meatballs…
Sausage and peppers…
Chicken rollatini with lemon white wine sauce…
Caesar salad…
Caprese salad…
And we always have room for dessert…
A wonderful day
Happy Mother’s Day to all! Enjoy your time today!
What is your favorite “party” food? Mine is pasta salad!

Oh , so beautiful !!! I was raised Catholic , and many family memories involve those beautiful Sacramental clothes. Seeing them tugs at my childhood heartstrings big time ! The party spread looks amazing ( one of my favorite things to eat is Caprise Salad). I have never had chicken rollatini, and it looks very yummy ! ( I am an Irish girl who married an Italian and grew up in an Italian Neighborhood so it seems my food memories are more Italian than Irish). My favorite party food seems to be Arrancini- it is not a party with my husband’s family without it !
Wow what a spread! Looks like a great day! Happy Mother’s Day!! Favorite party food, hmmmm, gotta be warm spinach dip or fresh pineapple. Can’t seem to keep myself away if they are on the table.
