Raining Coffee And Cookies
Hi everyone! Time has gotten away from me the past couple days, so I’m posting a little later than usual! The daughters started volunteering at/attending bible camp this week and I’ve been running them around afterward. All fun stuff though 
Not fun – the RAIN! Whoa, we got some torrential downpours. Waking up to dreary rain is so sad. I had some iced press with soymilk and watched it come down…
Breakfast was the usual- egg whites, cheese on an Ezekiel english muffin …
Where’s the good old orangey processed cheese, you say???? For a twist, I used a tablespoon of light whipped cream cheese! I wasn’t sure how it would taste, but it turned out to be a great combo! The heat of the egg made the cream cheese melty and delicious
Not wanting to go out in the rain again, I hit the basement for 35 minutes on the bike. It was a nice change, but not entirely what I consider a “workout.” I hate when I feel that way. I had to shake it off because I know that ANY extra movement is a good thing. Not everything has to be a “serious” calorie burn. It all counts, right?!
Lunch was a good use of leftovers – grilled chicken breast and Warm 4 Bean Salad (which was now cold 
)…
and a side of Triscuits…
The bean salad is even better the next day!!!
The skies cleared, the sun came out and the kitchen heated up! I made up a batch of Clean Eating Almond Butter Chocolate Chip cookies to take to a birthday party that evening. I had a brain lapse – no pic!!! Here’s one from the last time I made them…
They are GOOD!
I had a light dinner of turkey hoagie, fruit salad and more coffee…
And a cookie for the road

I also love mixing in ricotta with scrambled eggs for fluffy, light and cheesy goodness.
But, please, NEVER make me choose between baked goods. If a piece of cake and a couple cookies were orphaned, I’d take them ALL in.
I LOVE eggs + cream cheese, it’s one of my fav combos ever!
Any yes, any activity is better than no activity.
The weather was like that here all week too but it’s been a nice break from the humidity.
MMMmmmm…cookies or cake….mmmmm…. I’m Switzerland too. It’s like having to pick a favorite child. I love them both.

Cookies or Cake? It depends on the cake and the cookie. If its good cake, I’ll go for the cake… but nothing beats a warm chocolate chip cookie

Wait… I think that’s how I got into this mess in the first place! For me, it just depends on my mood…. and on the specific dessert. I’d choose good red velvet cake over a chocolate chip cookie, but I’d choose a flourless peanut butter cookie over birthday cake…
Hands down I would choose cookies. Nothing, to me, is better then a soft, chocolate chip cookie.
I think the answer to that question for me is *which* cake versus *which* cookie.
Give me the cookie with a cup of decaf! YUM!
i THINK i’M THE ODD BALL… i SAY “Let them eat cake!” If I have to indulge, it may as well be a full piece of a good moist cake…carrot cake or a good chocolate mousse! Yum!!

YUMMY! I love those triangle triscuits and I would choose cookies any day – they’re my fave!!
I’m known for my cakes, but cookies would be my choice, hands down. That’s why I rarely make them. They are my kryptonite and I usually eat at least a dozen if I make them.
