The Homestretch
We’re in the homestretch, guys! I’m finally starting to get in the spirit!!
I was pretty sore from my Walking Cardio Shapeup workout yesterday, so I focused on some yoga moves this morning. No video, just did my own thing. It was surprisingly relaxing and flowed quite nicely! Maybe I have a future in being a yoga teacher.
For the horribly uncoordinated and severely inflexible, of course
After my moves, I went to the kitchen in search of breakfast. You know the drill… use up the leftovers!
Open-faced egg white omelet with broccoli, sausage and white cheddar….
You cannot go wrong with cheese and sausage! Yum!
Lunch was on the early side, since the daughters and I had a movie date with my Dad. I opted for another bowl of Shrimp Wonton Soup with about 8 shrimp thrown in for some staying power…
I am seriously obsessed with this soup. The flavor is so good and the wontons are really tasty…
My hunger was in check today, even with all the crunching and munching at the movie theater! Why do we need to eat while watching a movie anyway? Who started that calorie overloaded tradition?!
I know. Random.
Anywho, later in the afternoon, I ran some final errands before the big day and made a quick stop at the supermarket for a few things. While I was there, I picked up dinner – chicken for the family and this for me…
Guess I was in a Chinese mood today! I’ll be retaining a small pond tomorrow from all the sodium! Eek!
I served up a portion with a cup of brown rice ( I had a cooked stash in the freezer) and a plain ol’ salad on the side…
I liked the chicken, although it was pretty mild. I think General Tsao is supposed to be spicy, right? Oh well, it was tasty and quick!
Okay, time to wrap presents! I may not be back for a couple of days since we have lots of family holiday fun going on, so just in case, I want to wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas! Enjoy your families, the food and the time together!
Have a GREAT day, everyone!

I didn’t click on the recipe link yet, but when I make wonton/thai soups, I slice fresh lemon grass in the broth and the citrusy flavor brings it to a whole new level – and I of course have to add sriracha sauce!
Hope you had a wonderful holiday!
