Get Lost!
It’s weigh-in day! I was so excited to go. Mostly because I just wanted to get it over with! LOL!
This is my “uh, can I just go now” face…
Off I went to my Weight Watchers meeting, hopped on the scale and got a nice surprise – down 2.4 lbs.!!! That’s 6 lbs. lost in 2 weeks!
I got my 5 lb. star, too…
This week was a bit of an experiment. Over the weekend, I used all of my WPA and dipped into a few of my AP’s, too, which I don’t normally use. I was interested to see if 2 weeks of using those extra PointsPlus would still yield a loss. And it did! I’m really making sure to spend them wisely, however. I don’t take it as a chance to eat a bunch of junk, but I do happily enjoy having REAL pizza with my family on Friday nights, Chinese takeout or eating at a restaurant without worry or guilt feelings. This PointsPlus program is the epitome of “everything in moderation” for me. I couldn’t be more excited about it!
After the meeting, it was dashboard breakfast time…
Yogurt bowl on the go – 3 PP!
- 1 cup plain nonfat Chobani yogurt
- sliced strawberries
- 1/2 banana
- 1 kiwi
Eaten safely in a parked car
Okay, Mom?
For lunch, I revisited some old favorites. Now this lunch really does remind me of my old WW days…
Any of you long time readers you deserve a prize for reading this long remember these lunches? There were an awful lot of wrap –carrots-chips plates, huh?!
I still love them
Today’s blast from the past - 2 oz. turkey, 1 wedge Laughing Cow Light cheese, horseradish mustard, baby spinach and pickle all wrapped up in a La Tortilla Factory tortilla – 4 PP…
These are still a good bread-type bargain at 2 PP…
So is this pile of POPchips at 3 PP…
I had a hard time getting warm this afternoon. I may or may not be fighting off an illness. I’m voting for MAY NOT. I’ll just ignore that I had a slight temperature
Coffee is the cure all!!!!
I wasn’t feeling a regular dinner. I wanted a snacky-type meal. I had just the thing – Black Bean Chili Dip…
Black Bean Chili Dip
(adapted from Cabot’s recipe)
1 (15-ounce) can black beans, rinsed, drained and partially mashed
1/2 cup drained canned whole kernel corn
1/3 cup chopped red bell pepper
3 tbsp. sour cream
1/3 cup salsa
1/4 cup water
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. onion powder
5 ounces 50% Reduced Fat Cabot Cheddar Cheese, grated
2 tablespoons drained canned green chilies
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. In a medium bowl, combine ingredients and pour into a small casserole dish coated with cooking spray.
3. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and filling is bubbly. Uncover and cook an additional 5 minutes.
Makes about 2 cups.
My “main dish” serving (about 3/4 cup) came to 8 PP…
Along with 1 oz. Baked Tostitos (3 PP) for dippage…
Cheeeeesy…
A Cutie for dessert…
These are pretty cute, too (2 PP)…
Fever and stuffy nose. So. NOT. cute.
Have a great day, everyone!
What is your favorite party dip?

Great job with your weight loss!
I have a similar chili bean dip that I love – Mexican dips are some of my favorites. That is, along with anything cheesy.
Feel better!

That dip looks great, I love mexican style cheesey dips, did you use FF sour cream?
It may be dinner for me tonight – I have about 5 things I am thinking about for dinner tonight and by the time I get home probably won’t feel like cooking LOL!

Just used regular sour cream, Julia! 2 tbsp. of regular is only 1 PP and 3 tbsp. comes in at 2 PP. Adds a nice creaminess to the dip!
Congrats on the loss again this week! You are OWNING the points plus thing! And I love that you had chips and dip on plan for dinner – it looks so yummy

I love your blog, and your posts – your food always looks so yummy. Are you on 29pts per day? I am allowed that many but honestly feel like I’m not losing anything? I don’t go over 29 except perhaps on a weekend. I wonder if I’m over doing it on the fruit and veg?

Denise, my Daily Target is 29 also. Don’t be afraid of eating the Points you need or of overdoing it on the fruits and veg. As long as you are eating to satisfaction, you’ll be okay. Make sure you’re getting in all of your Healthy Guidelines and eating a variety of grains, dairy, fruits and veggies. How long have you been on the program? If it’s only been a couple of weeks, your body just may be adjusting. Let me know how it’s going for you!
Yay! Congrats Marisa!
Congrats for the weight loss – glad the Points+ is working for you.
That yogurt bowl looks delicious. It reminds me how much I love kiwis! <3
Hey, I remember those wraps!!! Whenever I’m at BJs and I see those wraps I think of you, lol!
My fave dip is the spinach dip I make using the Knorr mix – YUM.
I tagged you in a Stylish Blog Award. See my blog for details.

I’m sending you the Stylish Blogger Award.
See post to collect.
Great job on the loss!!!
The dip sounds great! I love guacamole and all sorts of variations of it.
Hi Marisa,
I’ll be looking in your archives too
I’ve only been on the program 2 1/2 weeks, I did lose 2lb last week but feel like I’m gaining it back? I just feel so bloated still around my middle! I gain in my stomach first so I expect to lose it from there first too I guess. I’ll keep at it and I love following your blog, so motivated
I still use a lot of my weight watcher recipes too. Most of them are so tasty.
You go girl! That is so great. It’s funny you had dip for dinner b/c I’ve been known to do that too. I’m a dip FREAK. I can’t get enough, so when I make it, I usually trade my dinner for it b/c I eat so much. My fave is Mexican Corn Dip (http://reciperhapsody.wordpress.com/2010/09/26/mexican-corn-dip/), and I also love guacamole, spinach artichoke dip, that white trash velveeta/rotel combo that is usually served from a crockpot–anything. I love it all.
I LOVE YOUR FACE!!
and dip? notsomuch.
a lifelong aversion to all thing dippy.
oooh
except for a brief affair with the WHIZ of the CHEESE!
does that count?
