Give Me A Break
Well, spring break is turning out great so far! Little daughter came down with a stomach bug that had us up until 3 a.m. Thankfully, she is much better; we were worried that we might need a trip to the hospital!
Now, we are really ready to live it up…
The cool hues of the Caribbean ocean…
The crashing waves …
Diving into the surf …
Snorkeling and reading …
Beautiful ocean front views …
Gourmet lunches …
And Five Star dinners …
Wish you were here …
Have a great day, everyone!
Tomorrow, I’ll announce the winner of the Love Grown Granola Giveaway , plus I have a traditional Italian Easter recipe to share with you!
Now where’s my lounge chair and pina colada….

What a cute post. Sorry the daughter is sick. Bummer.
My hubby is sick too.
When you’re finished, be sure to come to my house and paint too.

Haha! Trust me Tami, you would fire me. I stink at painting. I get more on myself than the walls
Aww! Hate that she is sick! Love the color and the food looks YUM!

We painted big daughter’s room. She wants a more “teenager/grown up” room. The butterflies, purple and flowers weren’t cutting it anymore!
Cute!
I have a question…. I’ve followed your blog for 2 years or more (I used to be incredible unorganized mom…) and am just fascinated at the way you plan your meals. I do a *decent* job at planning meals but find that if I want to make a meal that is too hard to counts the points for, I end up making something else or worse, go out for dinner. I know that sounds crazy but it’s just pure laziness that I need to get rid of. Anyway, my question is, do you try to guess at some of your meals you make or are you very diligent in getting the exact points amount for it?

Hi Terri!!!! Glad you’re back!!!
Thank you for your kind words. I do try to make sure I know the Points of the meals I make. I use the eTools Recipe Builder a lot, but you can also use free sites like http://www.caloriecount.com to input your recipe, get the nutritional info and figure out the Points values from there. When I go out or eat at someone’s home, I generally try to estimate the Points but I don’t get too hung up on knowing the specific amount. Also, I don’t always have a meal plan per se, but I do keep my pantry and fridge stocked with staple items so I can usually through something together from what’s on hand and what I’m in the mood for. Hope that helps!
Don’t forget to wear your sunscreen Marisa!!!
(love the paint color – and really glad your daughter is better) Have a great day.
I hope shes better—that bug was here too and its vicious!
