A Diet Survivor’s Giveaway!
Hi guys!!! It’s that time again where we are thinking about those resolutions for the coming year. This year, most of mine are more of personal growth goals rather than my “traditional” weight loss specific ones.
Since I am still (and forever will be!) on the journey to develop a better relationship with food and understand my body, my primary resolution is to give this area as much focus as possible for the coming year. I’m so grateful to be finding great books to help me along the way. I’ve already shared The Rules of Normal Eating with you and now, I have another book recommendation to pass along called The Diet Survivor’s Handbook …
The first two chapters of the book are dedicated to explaining how diets have failed many of us. While I don’t necessarily believe in placing blame on the diet industry for my weight and weight loss woes, I do understand how the industry can feed our insecurities and confuse us in a way that we are not inclined to be in tune with our bodies’ true needs.
What I LOVE about this book is the Lessons Chapters…
There are 60 lessons addressed individually, focusing on different aspects of eating, body image and the all-elusive self-care (I still STINK supremely at this!) …
To further reinforce these lessons, a short activity is included with each one…
I also like that the book can be read in fits and starts. You can pick it up at any time and choose a Lesson; they don’t necessarily have to build upon each other before moving to the next.
Would you like to make changing your relationship with food and your body part of your New Year’s resolution? ![]()
I have two copies of The Diet Survivor’s Handbook to giveaway and get you started!
To enter: Leave a comment below telling me a goal or resolution you have for 2012!
The two winners will be chosen randomly and announced on Tuesday, January 3.
Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with the authors of this book. I purchased these books with my own casholah. Opinions and review of the book are also my own.)
Happy NEW YEAR, everyone!!! Whooooo hooooo!!
